Eagle Arsenic Oxide

Crystal Quest Eagle Arsenic Oxide is a granular ferric oxide (GFO) media made for removing arsenic from drinking water. Each porous granule of iron oxide hydroxide has a very large surface area, and arsenic, both arsenate (arsenic V) and arsenite (arsenic III), attaches to that surface as water passes through. It is not a resin and does not work by ion exchange, so it releases nothing into the water in exchange. No regeneration or chemicals are needed: the media is replaced when spent. It performs across a pH range of 5.5 to 8.5 and suits lead-lag or parallel tank designs.
